Mega-Tech Industries (S) Pte Ltd, incorporated in 1991, is a manufacturer of air-conditioners and distributor of consumer electronics. A recipient of the Enterprise 50 Award for its contributions to economic development in Singapore in 1999 and 2000, the company has a wide global network of customers and suppliers that spans over 35 countries. The company gives national defence a boost with a host of NS-friendly measures. Currently with five NSmen among its 25-strong team, Mega-Tech motivates its staff to pursue their best in their military roles by including their NS performance as a consideration in its annual performance appraisal. The company also monitors the schedules of its NSmen's In-Camp Training (ICT) and IPPT, so as to remind them before the slated dates. Monetary rewards are given to NSmen who pass their IPPT, while early release or time-off for remedial training helps motivate those who have not done well.
